Freedom in the World

Our desire to be responsible for our actions is a desire for our actions to be our own, for our responses to the world to be of our own making. It is not, however, a desire that the world itself be of our own making. The freedom necessary for responsibility is a freedom within the world, not a freedom from it. The Reason View recognizes that freedom within the world requires the ability to see and appreciate the world for what it is.
